Virtual classrooms and voice mail
1. become members of the Learning
Times community (LT) and explore its features;
2. join Jonathan
Finkelstein of the LT community at the Meeting Room (menu
on the left) on Monday 6, at 17:00GMT for a presentation-tour of the Elluminate
vClass (virtual classroom) and explore its potential
for language learning;
3. experiment with HandyBits,
SitePal
and HorizonWimba
voice email communication tools. For Horizon Wimba, look for
"Wimba Voice tools" and click on "Try
Wimba Voice Tools now". You will need to register (for
free) to be able to try the demo. Send a voice message to the BaW list
and/or participant;
4. join the moderators and co-moderators at the Alado.net "Webheads
Room" on Saturday, February 11 at 14:30 GMT, to explore the Alado
virtual classroom and its potential for language learning;
5. bearing in mind the Questions of the Week below, post your reflections
on the potential and applications of these tools to language learning
in our BaW-06 group mail list and/or our BaW-06
blog.

1. What differences are there between the LT and Alado vClass environments?
2. Which one would you choose for your classes and why?
