  • bridges all over the world

Activities
  1. A literary introduction to bridges by our guest speaker Arnold Mühren in The Netherlands. Participate in the assignment.
  2. Check the links given on the left column, take notes and write an entry on your blog about:

    a. types of bridges 

    b. the technology involved in bridge construction

    c. your opinion about bridges

     

  3. Practice vocabulary with these interactive Exercises:

    a. Fill in the blanks

    b. Crossword puzzle

    c. Scrambled sentences

     

  4. Guest Speakers talk about bridges in different parts of the world. Listen to them and write your comments on your blog.
  5. Don't forget to add vocabulary about bridges to the glossary in Moodle.
  6. Project on Bridges: As a final project for this course you can get together with 1 or 2 classmates and prepare a presentation about a bridge you like. Important information to include:

    b. Location

    c. Purpose of the bridge

    d. Type of bridge

    e. Materials

    f. Technology involved in its construction

    g. Designers
