Objective:
The objective is to have students recognize and learn each other’s

sentences, patterns of organization, and vocabulary in context.

Learners:
This sample lesson unit is targeted at intermediate-level adult
and young
adult students of English as a Second and/or Foreign Language.
The objectives of this lesson are to provide students with an introduction
to phrasal verbs in terms of their lexical and syntactic characteristics:
- their idiomatic nature;
- their often informal register;
- their syntactic behavior (for transitive phrasal verbs with
objects).
