Assessment

Your performance in this course will be assessed according to the parameters explained below. Your own perspective and that of your fellow students will be of great importance in this assessment process.

1.Class participation will be15% of the final grade.

Participation will consist of:
contributing to class discussions (5%),
contributing to class summaries (5%),
and research glossary development (5%).

2. Presentations. They will correspond to 40% of the final grade.

You will need to prepare three (3)of the assigned readings to be presented and discussed in class.

a. Reading for class 2 = 10%

b. Presentation of 2 research studies = 15% each = 30%
Participants will be responsible for consulting extra readings for the presentations (see Timetable and References)

3.Final Paper: This paper will be 45% of the final grade.

Write a paper discussing a problem you would like to investigate. During the course, you will be asked to keep a journal with your reflections about the theme you would like to study and the methodology you will use. These reflections will be part of your final paper, but the criteria to evaluate the paper will be discussed and set collaboratively by all participants and your teacher.
Papers (citations and references) must follow the APA style.

Your teacher will provide further references according to individual needs.
